KEVIN KELTON is a veteran TV writer and producer and screenwriting instructor.  Kelton began his television career as a staff writer for the ABC live late-night comedy series FRIDAYS and then spent two seasons writing for SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, where he was nominated for an Emmy Award in outstanding writing for a comedy-variety series, and his sketches appear regularly on SNL “Best Of” specials and DVDs. After SNL, Kelton transitioned into sitcoms, serving as a writer-producer for NIGHT COURT, BOY MEETS WORLD, THE JEFFERSONS, and A DIFFERENT WORLD before advancing to Co-Executive Producer for Universal Studios.  With credits on 22 television series and over 400 TV episodes, including specials for Steve Martin and Jay Leno, he has worked for every major network.  He has also written articles and screenplays for National Lampoon and has optioned movie scripts to Warner Bros. As a speaker, Kelton teaches TV writing at UCLA and has taught screenwriting at Loyola Marymount University and Clayton State University, as well as at comedy venues like the I.O. West Theatre Company in Hollywood and Judy Carter’s Comedy Workshop. He also leads private workshops and seminars on TV writing and production methods for international production companies seeking to learn how it’s done in America.
